Meet Our Staff

Dr. Steve King

Senior Pastor

Dr. Steve King became the pastor of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in March 2005. Pastor Steve is a native of Alexander City, AL. He is a graduate of Benjamin Russell High School and Jacksonville State University. He obtained a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary in Atlanta, GA.

Pastor Steve and his wife, Donna, are the proud parents of Hannah, age 14, and Ellie Kate, age 8.

Jeremy Jones

Student Pastor

Jeremy has served at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church since June 2004. A native of Montgomery, AL, Jeremy is a graduate of Alabama Christian Academy and Troy University. Jeremy and Crystal are the proud parents of Abbi, age 7, and Lilli, age 6.

Jeremy's leadership area is the student ministry, which involves the children's ministry, youth ministry, and college ministry.

Jane Barrett

Church Administrator

Jane Barrett has served on the staff of Mt. Hebron West Baptist Church since 1982. A life long member, Jane's ministry began by serving as the church secretary. In 1995, after having served as the Administrative Assistant to the Pastor, she became the Church Administrator. In 1990-91, Jane served as President of the Alabama Association of Baptist Secretaries and 1999-2001 served as President of the National Association of Southern Baptist Secretaries. Jane is a special consultant for LifeWay Church Resources, in Nashville, Tennessee, for ministry assistants, church secretaries and leads conferences and seminars throughout the United States.

Jane and her husband Kenneth have two grown sons; Ken and Kirk.

Kevin Boyer

Worship Leader and Student Associate

Kevin grew up at Mt. Hebron and came on staff in November of 2007. He leads worship on Sunday mornings and oversees the worship ministry. He also helps Jeremy with student worship and other student ministry events. He is married to Jordyn.
